El Plantio Golf has a challenging 18-hole course and a second 9-hole par 3 course. The 18-hole course was designed by Manual Ferry Ruiz and opened in the year 2000 so it is now a quite mature course.

The fairways are wide but they are tree-lined in most cases which penalises any wayward drives or shots into the greens.

The greens themselves are quite big so it is important to take note of the pin positions, a pin located at the back of the green can add two clubs to your selection otherwise you will come up short and be left with a 40ft putt.

Features of El Plantio Golf Course

What is noticeable is the lack of bunkers compared to most of the courses in the area, but the ones they do have are strategically positioned to protect the greens.

The abundant vegetation is a major feature of the course with over 45,000 native mature trees and 14,000 bushes and plants, two large lakes make things very interesting on a few of the holes. This is a well-presented and well-maintained golf course that every level of golfer should enjoy.
